Is it illegal for me to play poker for money online?
Well i play poker online for fun and wanted to start playing for real money but i heard there is a bill against that in the US. Can anyone tell me more about this? Also, i use fulltilt and pokerstars, are these sites good for real money play? And if so how can i go about doing it with the bill being there? I get poker magazines in the mail and see that many americans are winning big online but dont know how with the bill the US has. Can someone help me out?

The serious problem started on May 25, 2006 when House passed the “Unlawful internet gambling enforcement act” bill put restrictions on the “accepting credit cards, checks, or other bank instruments from gamblers who illegally bet over the Internet”. Though the debates about what is legal and what is not are still continuing, number of practical steps were taken by e-wallet solution providers and currently this is the problem for the poker community. Number of big brands has left US market and number of big deposit methods were wiped out of the market.
