Texas Holdem Tournament

A real success story, Carbon Poker is formed from the old Poker.com player base and software. It is growing exponentionally, and though it might not yet have the clout of the bigger sites just yet, it is sure to be a force to be reckoned with in the future, with a great variety of games and promotions.

Introduction:
Though this is a relatively new site for Play Poker online, it is smart, sophisticated and ever-growing in popularity. It accepts US players, and has some great promotions, so Carbon Poker looks set to continue expanding on its initial success.
Games on Offer:

Carbon has a good selection of games on offer, with the ubiquitous Texas Holdem, plus Razz, H.O.R.S.E, Omaha Hi and Hi/Lo, 5-card Draw, 5-card Stud, A-5 Lowball, 2-7 Lowball & Badugi. Limits ranges from 2-4 cents to $50-100.

Tournaments:
If it’s freerolls you’re after, Carbon probably has the largest selection on offer, ranging from daily $50 and $100 competitions, weekly $10k’s and monthly $50k freerolls. You do need player points to gain entry to the big money freerolls, but the daily ones are open to everyone. Other tournaments are still limited, but if the freerolls are anything to go by, this site will be a tournament hit in the future.

Traffic:
Of course, as a new site, traffic is relatively low, with an average 500 ring-game players and 2000 tournament players. However, this number continues to grow, and it is only a matter of time before these numbers creep up.

Fish Factor:
Games are still fast and loose, and for a skilled player, there is definitely money to be made here. However, at this early stage in the site’s history, Carbon remains a safe training pool for new players.
$$$ Rewards:
One of the benefits of a new site is that it needs to attract new players, and the promotions reflect this. The sign-up bonus is 200% up to $1000, and new depositors also gain entry into the bigger freerolls. Refering a friend and reloading also give you a good payback.

Rakeback:
The rake is a pretty standard 5% up to $3, and Carbon also has the ‘no flop, no drop’ policy.

Financial Security:
This is the downside of a new site, in that its reputation has not been fully established. However, Carbon’s mother company is well established in the industry, and it has not received any complaints to date.

Software:
On the whole, software is good, fast and easy to use. There are also plenty of unique features that help to customise the poker rooms. However, it does have some teething problems, for example the hand-history export needs extra software to operate it.
Support:

It is good to finallly see a site with a live chat option as well as email support, so you can get an almost immediate response.
